CN Association League 2013

League Manager's Report:

This year the league was won jointly by Belsay Hall and Middlesbrough Resolution. Both teams had the same number of match and game wins.

All matches were played (with full teams), although Middlesbrough Resolution decided to delay their campaign until the end of August! Thanks to all the club contacts for the prompt return of results sheets and keeping me informed of postponements, which is useful and much appreciated.

A total of 24 players took part, one of whom (I believe) was playing in the league for the first time. It has always been considered an important purpose of the league is to get new players involved in competitive croquet, but this may be difficult to achieve with so few opportunities due to the small number of games.

I have been informed that York will be returning to the league next year. Any suggestions for further increasing the number of teams (and so matches) for the league would be appreciated.
